A 2010 fishing trip on the New River near the North Carolina-Virginia border, served as our inspiration in naming our barbecue sauce. After a long day on the river, the party was just gettin' started back at camp! After two (or thirteen?) drinks of mountain moonshine, and our camp a mess, everyone went to bed. The next day (later that morning) I found my brother makin' breakfast at the campfire and he simply muttered, "That s***'s (K)not water..."
After years of making up sauces and seasoning, Knotwater Barbecue was officially created. Launching in February of 2020 (great timing, right?) we began our journey to provide our customers with the highest quality barbecue products we could. Though we've hit our fair share of speed bumps along the way, we are excited to continue our journey and look forward to relaunching our products in early 2024!
